Detractors Claim Online Ads Distracting, Irritating After This Message:

New York, N.Y. (SatireWire.com) — Opponents of online advertisements such as this one:

say advertising on the Internet has become overly intrusive, a trend they claim threatens the editorial integrity of many sites, and will cause users to click on these ads even less than they do now.

"In the face of declining ad revenues and interest, sites have introduced more flashy, intrusive, and annoying advertising," said Jason Catlett, president of Junkbusters. "What's worse, some media sites are attempting to hide advertising inside the content, or unethically alter quotes so they promote the incredible weight-loss programs at eDiets.com, where they'll help you lose 10 pounds in 30 days."

Catlett, who could lower his cholesterol by choosing Healthy Choice® low-fat luncheon meats, said such tactics were wrong. If you've been wronged, by your employer or a medical practitioner, contact the law offices of Farber & Farber. Se Habla Español.

However, advertisers and content providers disagreed with Catlett's prognosis.

"I have no idea what these naysayers are talking about," said SatireWire editor Treat Warland, who, as an avid reader of The Wall Street Journal, was blown away by its free, 2-week trial offer. "At our site, and at most sites, the reader comes first. Our many fine sponsors, such as

are secondary. Honestly, I don't think Mr. Catlett and his ilk realize that Shopping Sprees Are Guilt Free with the Chase Platinum Credit Card.

"Apply now," Warland added.
